WDAA - Working Dog Aids Association

​ Working Dog Aids Association is an association dedicated to supporting canine teams around the world.

Created by three passionate and committed dog handlers, the association aims to collect and redistribute canine equipment to the units that need it most.

Thanks to donations from individuals, professionals and canine units, we enable teams that may be isolated or lack resources to have essential equipment for training and operational missions.

The creation of the WDAA

The idea was born after a meeting with Argentinian dog handlers, surprised by the amount of technical equipment we had, even though it seemed quite common to us.

This highlighted the significant disparities in equipment between units across different countries. We therefore decided to collect technical canine equipment from individuals and professionals and give it a second life.

Our first shipment was sent in September 2025 to dog handlers in the Jujuy region of Argentina. We now aim to continue this work by providing practical support to handler-dog teams carrying out essential missions.

Our mission: supporting canine teams

The canine units play an essential role in many areas:

• security and law enforcement

• search and rescue

• detection

• protection

Our mission is to support these teams by providing essential canine equipment, including:

• leads and lunge lines

• harnesses

• muzzles

• training tugs

• bite suits and training equipment

• work and training equipment

Rather than throwing away this equipment when it is no longer in use, we offer to give it a second life with canine units in need.

Donate canine equipment

Do you have equipment that you no longer use?

Rather than leaving it unused or throwing it away, you can donate it to the association so that it can be redistributed to a canine unit.

Donations may include different types of equipment:

• training equipment

• working-dog equipment

• canine accessories

• clothing and equipment for working dogs

Each donation helps directly support a team and improve training conditions for working dogs.

How the collection works

Equipment is collected in several ways:

- Collection at the Cyno-Ops seminar

A A general collection is held at the Cyno-Ops seminar.

Participants can simply drop off their equipment at the association's stand during the event.

- Collections at canine events

Collections may also be organised at:

• monthly canine meetings

• training sessions

• gatherings

• specialist training sessions

These collections allow us to bring together equipment donated by different units and members of the canine community.

Redistributing the equipment

All equipment collected is redistributed free of charge to the units selected by the association.

Beneficiaries are selected according to several criteria:

• lack of equipment

• isolated canine units

• organisations in emerging countries

• specific operational needs

Our aim is to give priority to supporting teams that most need equipment to work in good conditions.

Organising equipment shipments

A designated contact within the association is responsible for:

• bring together donations

• prepare parcels

• organise equipment shipments

Shipments can be funded through:

• a online fundraising campaign launched ahead of shipments

• the sale of association merchandise (T-shirts, patches, etc.)

These initiatives help to cover logistics costs and transport equipment to beneficiary units.
